Now that the craziness has finally passed...
Why is everyone suddenly starting to hate on the Olympics? Okay, I realize that NBC's coverage sucked balls (I will even admit to that), and I know everyone's stupid soap operas and regular primetime television were put off for 2 weeks, but come on, people! It was the Olympics! They only happen every four years and it's not like the US Olympic Team are anywhere close to being as bad as the Browns.
For example: the US is now home to the the most decorated Olympian of all time. ALL TIME, PEOPLE! And instead of supporting the most decorated Olympian of all time, y'all are complaining that you won't know who killed who or who's having who's baby or who's in another coma in your stupid fucking soap opera.
You know who watches soap operas? Old people. The cool people watch the Olympics.
And I know that the summer Olympics are nothing compared to the winter Olympics (yay ice hockey, snowboarding and figure skating!), but, again, it only happens every four years. So you couldn't suck it up and support our country's athletes while they compete against the world's athletes? Where's your American pride?!
So, being one of the only people who didn't have a beef with the Olympics, I would like to congratulate Michael Phelps, Missy Franklin and the US swim team, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh, the US women's gymnastics team, the US women's water polo team, and everyone who competed and won a medal on behalf of this great nation.
As for the rest of you Olympic whiners, your soap operas are on. Go on, get going.
