President's Day weekend in 2011, my drama club and I journeyed to the Big Apple.
We left from my high school on Friday, February 18 (which was also mine and Riko's 10-month anniversary, go figure), and got to our hotel in New Jersey around 7:30-8ish (I was kind of a mix of excitement and walking dead). We all freshened up, split into groups, and headed to Chinatown.
Now lemme tell you about the horror that is Chinatown.
Unlike Little Italy where people just nag at you to come into their restaurant and eat their food, the Chinese people keep nagging at you to buy their shit. It was scary. Very scary. This one lady followed us all the way to Little Italy just to get us to buy fake Tiffany bracelets, and our friend's mom even went as far as to follow this dude to a shady part of Chinatown to get a cheap Coach purse.
Oh, and here's another story about Chinatown. While we were crossing the street, I tripped on a pothole and fucked up my knees. Here they are when I got home 2 days later:
From Chinahell we headed to an improv workshop (you know, since we were the drama club). It was very funny and we all had a great time. Afterwards, our bus got a flat tire, so we all took advantage of the 50-dregree weather and took random pictures:
That night, we ate at Mama Sbarro's in Times Square.
The next day was full of sight-seeing:

Sunday started off with freezing our asses off waiting in line for a boat to Ellis Island. It was so bad that I made Riko go on top deck and take pictures of the Statue of Liberty for me:
After the visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, we headed toward Ground Zero (my pictures mysteriously disappeared and I'm too fucking lazy to download them from Facebook), and after that, we journeyed back to good ol' Cleveland.
Here are some other things that happened: I was glued to Riko because of our anniversary, Peno and I were down each other's throats because I was glued to Riko and it was already bad enough that I was around people he hated because I was glued to Riko and...yeah. I was glued to him the entire time. Kinda regret it now that I think back on it. Peno almost threw me in the river. It wasn't cool.
It's rushed, it's late, but it's up. I go back to NYC with Rachel on Friday. I'll take lots of pictures and lots of video (I'm taking Macky with me this time so we won't have a repeat of Disney World), and it all should be up when I get back. I make no promises as of when.
SHOUT OUT TO PENO'S FRIENDS THAT BOTHER TO READ MY SHIT I LOVE YOU GUYS EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU ARE.
